Consider Becoming a Knock Knock Volunteer

Volunteer on a regular basis, help with birthday parties or special events, or lend a hand with a special need. Whether you are a student, an adult, a group, or even a corporation, consider becoming a Knock Knock volunteer!

Volunteers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteer Guidelines

Volunteer Expectations

Volunteers are expected to engage and interact with children and families in a meaningful way that provides museum guests with a positive experience. Volunteers are an integral part of museum programs and events and can assist with a variety of tasks such event preparation, backyard maintenance, activity facilitation, field trips, etc. We appreciate you generously offering your time!

Age Requirements

Individuals must be a minimum of 14 years of age to volunteer at Knock Knock. All volunteers 15 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals 16 years of age and up can volunteer unaccompanied by an adult.

Dress Code & Cell Phone Policy

Volunteers must arrive in the appropriate attire to their shifts. If volunteers arrive dressed inappropriately they will be asked to leave for the day. Please view this document on appropriate attire. Cell phones are not permitted while volunteers are on duty. Cell phone use is only permitted for emergencies or during allotted break time.

Volunteer & Museum Guest Protection

Knock Knock Children’s Museum does not offer volunteer opportunities for individuals with court mandated hours. The museum cannot sign off on court-appointed volunteer service hours. Individuals 18 years of age and older who plan to volunteer on a regular basis must conduct a background check after 20 hours of service.
