Step back in time to the Renaissance era and join us for a magical night of fundraising, inspired by King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table!
Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s annual Storybook Soiree keeps the magic of playful learning alive for children in our community. Every year, this highly anticipated event supports Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s programs, initiatives, and facility enhancements, and we are grateful for your continuous support!
Storybook Soirée is our most critical fundraiser of the year, raising essential funds for the museum. Each year, Knock Knock must raise 50% of its operating budget through donations and events like Storybook Soirée. Your support funds this gap and provides opportunities for all children and families to learn through play!
Attendees partied like the gods for a great cause during an epic evening filled with multiple open bars, divine bites from Baton Rouge’s top restaurants, dancing to the sounds of DJ Bird, and exciting live and silent auctions. Guests also tested their skills with games fit for the fiercest Olympians, making the night both entertaining and impactful.
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and we appreciate every one of you who support us!

WHY: To raise funds for Knock Knock Children’s Museum programs and initiatives, including Access for All and Play for All, and pay for programs and improvements to our 18 Learning Zones and our Big Backyard.
THEME: The Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table
ATTIRE: Cocktail or Costume – Calling all noble knights, fairies, sorceresses, mythical creatures, and kings and queens!

What is Storybook Soirée? Storybook Soirée is Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s signature adult fundraising event. It’s an evening of food, drinks, entertainment, and playful fun—all while supporting Knock Knock’s mission to inspire and engage children and families through hands-on learning.
When and where is it? Thursday, October 8th from 7 pm to 10 pm located at Knock Knock Children’s Museum. 1900 Dalrymple Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
What is the theme? This year’s theme is the Legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. We’re bringing the magic of Camelot to life with knights, kings and queens, dragons, and plenty of medieval-inspired fun!
Do I need to be invited to attend? No, Storybook Soirée is open to all adults in the community! You do not need to be a Knock Knock member or have visited the Museum before to attend.
How do I buy a ticket? Either online or at the door – we highly recommend online!
Should I purchase the game pass online? It’s optional – but why come to Knock Knock and not play!? You can purchase it online at the same link to purchase tickets or at the event.
How do I register to bid on the auction? To participate in our auction, please register with Qtego’s website and input your phone number and card information. You will not be charged unless you win a bid or make a purchase at the event.
When can I start bidding on the auction? Our silent auction is open now! Place your bids now here! It closes at 9:45 pm the evening of the gala, Oct. 8th. FYI – You don’t have to attend the Soiree to bid!
What should I wear? Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion! Costume or medieval-inspired cocktail attire is welcome. Think royal court, knights in shining armor, kings, queens, dagons, and legendary characters.
Do I have to wear a costume? Not at all! Come dressed up or curate a look inspired by the patterns, textures, and mood of the medieval period.
Are children allowed? Storybook Soirée is the one night a year adults only can experience the magic of Knock Knock!
Will food and drink be provided? Yes! Your evening includes delectable bites from Baton Rouge’s favorite restaurants and an open bar.
What will there be to do? Expect an evening filled with medieval-inspired games, food and drinks, string music, aerial silks, character entertainment, and more, all to support Knock Knock.
Is there parking available? Yes! Parking is available on site at Knock Knock. We do encoourage car pool or ride shares.
