Use real construction tools and equipment like a saw, drill, or working crane.
Peer behind the walls of a building to see how things work. Erect a bridge over our stretch of the mighty Mississippi or explore the fascinating power of wind — with our very own wind tunnel!
What Children Can Learn and Do:
- Build eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills using real tools and operating a working crane.
- Work with others to construct with oversized, lightweight foam blocks to build bridges, forts, an oversized marble run, or a soft catenary arch.
- Experiment with aerodynamic properties of different materials in our wind tunnel.
- Travel across our kid-sized Mississippi River Bridge and help “build” the bridge itself.
- Build fanciful constructions by adding lengths and curves of real piping.
