Meet Julie Gerdes Becnel!
Join us for a special storytime featuring Louisiana author Julie Gerdes Becnel. Julie will read her debut children’s book, Roux’s First Day, and share her love of storytelling and the inspiration behind her work.
Julie Gerdes Becnel has explored storytelling through poetry, short fiction, children’s theater, and now children’s literature. In addition to being an author, she is the founder of a creative consultancy, Little Rouge Hen, where she draws on nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit communications, education, and storytelling to help individuals and organizations set and reach their goals. Julie will share her passion for storytelling and giving children insight into what it’s like to be an author and creative entrepreneur.
