The Excalibur Club of Baton Rouge recently honored Knock Knock Education Chair Cate Heroman during the club’s November Membership Luncheon held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The club is committed to recognizing and rewarding the “unsung” heroes of our community and recognized Cate Heroman for her volunteer contributions to Knock Knock Children’s Museum, a local 501c3 organization working to establish an early learning children’s museum for the Capital Area Region.

Cate Heroman is an early childhood consultant and former Vice President at Teaching Strategies, LLC. She has been a preschool and kindergarten teacher as well as an administrator at the Louisiana Department of Education. She is a co-author of many early childhood resources, including the Strategies for Preschool Teachers After the 2005 Hurricanes; Building Your Baby’s Brain; Literacy: The Creative Curriculum® Approach, and numerous others. Presently Mrs. Heroman serves on Knock Knock’s Board of Directors as the board’s Education Chairman and will be joining the organization’s Executive Committee as its newly elected Vice Chairman.
