Please join us as we celebrate Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) during the week of October 13th through the 18th.

AAC is used for children who have limited to no verbal language as well as difficulty comprehending language. We will be displaying and modeling the use of low, mid, and high technology AAC throughout the entire museum! The LSU Communication Sciences & Disorders Department and the Louisiana Accessible Educational Materials team (a project of the Louisiana Department of Education and the Special School District) will facilitate communication throughout the language-rich environment at Knock Knock Children’s Museum.
